Now through August 7, AVAC Swim SchoolŪ is running a backpack drive to benefit local low income children in need.
The Family Giving Tree provides backpacks filled with school supplies to those children in the most need in our local communities. We worked with this organization last year and collected close to 100 backpacks for children of all ages! The way it works is you can donate an entire backpack filled with supplies (backpack cards with directions of how to fill them are located in swim school) or if you cannot donate an entire backpack, you may donate school supplies. Last year, the Family Giving Tree provided almost 33,000 backpacks to low income children in need. Visit the Swim School Lobby for backpack cards and the drop-off area. All donations welcome!
