Pilates at AVAC

Pilates [pronounced puh-LAW-teez] is a method of exercise designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body. Our Pilates Studio is available to AVAC members and is open to the public. AVAC pilates consists of mat work and apparatus training taught in small groups or on a private basis.

You will learn techniques that will help you hit the ball consistently farther and straighter, with reduced risk of injury and back pain. Maximum 4 participants.

Jump Board Pilates

Mondays | 7 pm
Thursdays | 9 am

Annie Durning will lead you through this heart-pumping, supercardio workout. Classes are limited to four participants, two classes per individual only. Members and non-members welcome.

Restorative Pilates
Monday at 12:45 pm | Wednesday at Noon
A gentle program under the direction of Annie Durning. Recommended for people who have limited movement due to an injury. Or, wish to augment their range of motion and strength. Whether due to injury, muscular imbalanceds or postural issues, this workout is perfect for you. Some Mat 101 experience required. Find out more by clicking here to contact Annie Durning.

V2 Max Plus™ reformers from STOTT PILATES™
A proprietary vertical frame pulley system has been added to our reformers, which allows for exercises that emulate the three-dimensional movements of daily life. This all-in-one piece of equipment incorporates many elements of pilates practice – Mat, Reformer and Cadillac. It provides more than 450 exercises.

Small Group Classes     We offer three types of classes:
Mat Classes [max. of 8 participants]
Reformer Classes [max. of 4 participants]
V2 Max Plus
[max. 6 participants]

Private Instruction
All of our instructors are trained in STOTT PILATES, a contemporary approach to the original principles established by Joseph Pilates. This version applies the latest developments in exercise science to ensure optimal safety and results. Semi-private instruction is also available.
