Originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, Manny was a nationally ranked junior player in his yourth. In 1998, Manny achieved top-level professional certification with the United States Professional Tennis Association [USPTA] and was awarded Northern California USPTA "Rookie of the Year" in recognition of his dedication and exuberance in teaching.
While a tennis pro at the San Francisco Tennis Club, he coached many touring pros when they had matches in the Bay Area. Manny specializes in coaching adults and adult league teams, as well as the development of Junior players. Manny served as head pro for the City of San Jose from 1997 to 2006.
Fully sponsored by Adidas and Dunlop, Manny brings an impressive brand of tennis to AVAC.

| Les Atteberry has been certified by the
USPTR since 1978 and a high school PE instructor for more than 40
years. He brings a fresh, gentle approach to teaching that naturally
fosters a love of the game. Les has been part of the AVAC teaching
staff for more than seven years. Currently, he is on court weekdays
with our Junior Academy. He is also available on weekends. Les is also
AVAC's premier racket stringer.

Grant Wollen brings a passion for coaching beginners on the joys of learning tennis. "I enjoy making an impact on their lives," he said. USPTA certified, Grant was captain of the Branham High School Tennis Team when the team made All League his senior year. Currently a junior at San Jose State University, he is majoring in business.

Bill Foley has been teaching at AVAC for more than seven years. A senior at Santa Clara University, majoring in communications and history, Bill helped take his Bellarmine Varsity Tennis Team to a WCAL championship. He also has taught for the City of San Jose since 1999. Bill brings a lot of enthusiasm to every lesson and believes that as long as tennis is fun, anyone can play it well for a lifetime. |

Born in San Jose and raised in Almaden Valley, Myra holds a degree in business marketing from University of Santa Clara. While in college, she placed first in doubles and singles, and received the Bronco of the Year Award in 2008 and 2009. Myra has been coaching all ages since she was in high school and has trained some of Northern California's top junior players. She also played in the Girls' 18 and under Nationals when they were held at AVAC.
