Class Descriptions

CARDIO STEP INTERVAL – Cross training at its finest with high intensity cardio activity broken up by short periods of low intensity for recovery, fat burning, lean muscle building. This class utilizes a variety of equipment.
KICKBOXING - Combines martial art techniques with fast-paced cardio. This high energy workout challenges the beginner and elite athlete alike. Build stamina, and flexibility and burns calories. Kickboxing is a fun and challenging workout.
TABATA TUESDAY - High intensity interval training to get your heart rate up in high anaerobic zone for short periods of time. Train all your energy systems!

Get fit in the water with a high energy, challenging workout, with both deep water & shallow water options. You will exercise using your own body weight & water resistance, & or noodles. Great for all levels, easy on the joints.

AVAC® CYCLE – A challenging cardiovascular workout that takes you on a realistic ride. Each cycle class can be modified to suit your needs & insure that you get the best workout for your fitness level.
CYCLE CHALLENGE – Pure cycling. The instructor will take you through various terrains, speed & intensities.
CYCLE TRX – The perfect blend of cardio & TRX training. A great total body workout. Limited to 16 participants.
CYCLE/STRENGTH – Cycling to circuit training with intervals to keep your heart pumping.
PERFORMANCE RIDE – A high intensity cycling class includes climbs, sprints & intervals.

BALLET BARRE & ABS - 30 minutes at the ballet barre followed by 25 minutes of intense abdominal work.
– Learn the basic movements of strength training. Class gives you an exercise for each major muscle group. Finish with a relaxing stretch.
STRENGTH & CORE – Strengthen each major muscle group to help tone your entire body with extra emphasis on core.
STRENGTH, SWEAT, & STRETCH – A total body, heart pumping, strength workout. Strength & cardio burst to tone your body & improve endurance.
TBC - Total Body Conditioning. Class incorporates strength & cardio segments using equipment such as dumbbells, body bars, bands, & more for a total body workout.
TRX BLAST - Covers every major muscle group with TRX strap exercises & movements. Challenge your workouts with high intensity, powerful movements.
STRICTLY CORE – 15 minutes of pure ab work.
ULTIMATE ATHLETIC BLAST – Boost your metabolism, burn calories, increase strength, & endurance with this overall strength & sports conditioning class that uses circuit & interval training techniques.

BETTER BALANCE – Take 15 minutes to focus on activities to help with balance.
GENTLE YOGA – Breathing exercises & meditation, with the core focus on strengthening, balance, & flexibility, with an emphasis on flexibility, emphasizing proper alignment for safety. You will leave the class with more mobility, a relaxed mind, as you melt away stress.
JUST ENOUGH – Perfect for those just starting group exercise, post-rehabilitation patients, & the 50+ crowd. Basic, easy to follow, safe & effective workout. Low-to-moderate-intensity aerobics, & finish with body toning & cool down.
MOBILITY – A movement-based class specifically designed to improve joint health by increasing active range of motion as well as quality movement, improve over-all body mechanics & increase body awareness. All of your major joints will be taken through a full range of motion using challenging but doable movement exercises.
SPRING CHICKENS™ The perfect class for those with muscular-skeletal limitations. Class consists of basic movement patterns utilizing front/back & side-to-side steps. Key ingredients are balance, stretch, & relaxation exercises. Spring Chickens is a healthy program designed by Generations Community Wellness & is used under license. Training perfect for the 50+ crowd.
TAI CHI – To promote feelings of well-being, relaxation & inner space. Benefits include increased vitality & concentration, improved breathing, coordination & circulation.
RESTORATIVE YOGA – A carefully designed collection of restorative yoga, gentle yoga, breathe work, guided meditation & hands on healing. The entire practice is done on the floor with the use of props to hold you in each pose to facilitate healing. A perfect practice for students with injuries, arthritis, inflammation, & those who need to reduce stress & relax.
STRETCH & BALANCE – Stretch & lengthen your muscles, help restore energy & balance to your body. Allow your mind to relax & take a moment out of your busy day to pamper yourself.
VINYASA FLOW - Starting with breath, this class ramps up to an energetic & vigorous flow emphasizing form & alignment. Each unique class offers opportunities for dynamic movement, grows balance & strength, deepens your inner awareness & ends with relaxing stretches & a final meditation.
YOGA – Yoga is a wonderful way to gain strength & flexibility, as well as reduce the effects of stress. The instructor will guide you through healthy alignment of many of the basic postures, as well as introduce basic flows & breathing practices. This class is appropriate for ANY beginner, & is the perfect start to developing your yoga practice.

CARDIO DANCE - A fusion of Latin, jazz, hip hop, Bollywood style dances that are easy to follow, fun & keeps you on your toes.
HIP HOP – Learn all the current Hip Hop moves, get a great cardiovascular work-out & have fun all at the same time.
ZUMBA® Latin music, moves & more. Zumba® is sweeping the country with fun, energetic, fast-paced yet easy to follow choreography.
ZUMBA GOLD® – All the pizazz of Zumba, but for those who are just starting out & want to join in the dance. Steps are slower, but same Latin music & energy.
