My first exposure to practicing Yoga was in 2002 but at that time it wasnít a consistent practice. In 2008, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) which drove me to again pursue Yoga for the therapeutic benefit for my joints. When I committed to a regular and consistent Yoga practice, I noticed improvement over time in reducing joint pain, improving joint range of motion and function, improved muscle strength, balance and stability as well as lowering stress and tension. I have found through my yoga practice, my mind to be more clear and my ability to focus on the present moment, finding joy in every day. I have never been stronger mentally and physically! I encourage you to dive into Yoga and all it has to offer! You will feel itís benefits almost immediately!
My classes are accessible to all! Each class is approachable yet challenging, with an emphasis on body control, strength building movements combined with utilizing your breath to carry you through your practice. I encourage students to feel the sensations in their body and play with their edge, challenging their mind with strong movements and long holds while providing a safe, encouraging, and non-judgmental environment where each student can achieve their full potential.
