My fitness journey started at a relatively young age as both a dancer and competitive gymnast, though my relationship with fitness hasn't always been smooth sailing. As I got older, the time and motivation I dedicated to my sport(s) became more sparse, eventually leading to a point where I gave up on physical activity altogether. I spent a good deal of time through my teenage years and part of my early-20's being overweight and lacking in self-confidence. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to take a - quite literally, life-changing - nutrition course in college that reshaped my entire perception of health, nutrition, and fitness.

Since then, I slowly developed sustainable, consistent habits of healthy eating and regular exercise; trying different forms of activity that works best for me - running, rock climbing, kickboxing, jumping rope, weightlifting, yoga, gymnastics, hiking, swimming, you name it. I've also experimented with different diets and ended up going vegan in 2020 (and yes, you can get enough protein as a vegan). Fast forward a couple of years, I started taking group fitness classes where I was really motivated and pushed by the coaches to the point where I ended up becoming a certified fitness instructor myself. So it's at this point in my life that I have the privilege of helping others achieve their fitness goals, similar to what the coaches in my life have done for me; sharing my experience and knowledge of nutrition and the various modalities of exercise I’ve trained in to create a sustainable and well-rounded approach to health and fitness.
