Junior Pickleball

You have probably already heard that pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the country, but you might not know that the average age of pickleball players has been trending younger every single year since its boom in popularity. Here at AVAC we are doing our part to contribute to both of those trends by establishing one of the only full time Junior Pickleball programs in the area!

Whether your child is an absolute beginner or already competing hard out on the courts, we have clinics and lessons designed to help them take their game to the next level! Pickleball has proven to be especially popular with kids who are looking to get involved in sports for the first time or haven’t quite found their passion yet. Our goal is to help our junior players get in on the ground floor of the sport as it almost certainly will start being included on high school, college teams and beyond!

We run our classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, with Beginners from 4-5pm and Intermediate players from 5-6pm.

Adult Wine Down

If you are looking for some fun social tennis, make sure not to forget that we hold our monthly “Wine Down” the first Friday of every month! This event combines potluck style food with social play as a great way to end the week. Bring your racquet along with your favorite dish and enjoy a night guaranteed free from double faults and bad line calls! For our newer members, everyone is welcome to attend, so feel free to show up and meet some of your fellow players at AVAC. The next Wine Down will be on April 4th from 6-9pm.

These last couple months the high school girl’s season finished up and we are proud to say that we had multiple girls from our program achieve their goals for the year! Whether that be making the team for the first time as a Freshman or achieving the number one ranking for their school, AVAC tennis had some fantastic results. The boys season is coming up fast in the new year and we are confident we will see similar success! If you have a girl who wants to make sure she is keeping her game up now that their season over, or a boy who is looking to brush up on his skills to prepare for upcoming try outs or competition, our Junior Competition class is a perfect place for them to train with other students of their level.

Junior Competition is held Mondays, Wednesdays/Fridays from 4-6pm and Saturdays/Sundays from 11.30am-1.30pm.

NEW Adult Tennis Clinic Wednesdays from 6-7pm – Due to the popularity of our Beginner classes, we have introduced this clinic to welcome Beginner, Intermediate, and 3.0 players to progress their skills on three courts with three dedicated trainers.
