AVAC® Junior Tennis Program is the perfect way to introduce your child to the game! Organized by age & features multiple layers of specialized training tools, drills, & games. Young players will utilize smaller courts, lower nets, low compression balls (red, orange, green), & child-sized racquets. These modifications allow our beginning players to dig in & truly experience the excitement & fun of playing the game of tennis. The AVAC® teaching approach is built around the proven success of the 10 & Under Program defined by the United States Tennis Association (USTA).

Stars is an introductory program for kids ages 4 to 5. We will teach the kids fundamental ball skills using the red tennis ball as well as developing proper movement, rallying, and racquet skills in a fun, low-pressure environment designed for the players. We keep our instruction enjoyable to make a positive experience for young kids. We will incorporate fun games & activities.

Aces is designed for players ages 6 to 8. The Aces class uses the smaller 36-foot court and smaller racquets (19" to 23"). We will introduce the basic strokes of the game: forehand, backhand, volley, overhead & the serve using the orange tennis ball. We focus on consistent positive reinforcement allowing kids to build confidence to gain success which in turn increases enjoyment. We will incorporate fun games & activities along with basic drills to help keep learning tennis fun.

Junior Green Circuit is designed to introduce the basic strokes of the game: forehand, backhand, volley, overhead & the serve. The main area of focus is working towards each child being able to repeat each stroke using a green (dot) tennis ball. We will also emphasize proper footwork & movement through live ball drills as well as conditioning that are essential to developing the complete tennis player. Each student will be taught how to keep score and basic tennis concepts. This class can range from beginners to advanced players.

Junior Pro Circuit is for ages 10 - 18 & uses a regular yellow tennis ball. Our instruction continues to build on developing a solid foundation in all aspects of a player's game. We begin to focus on building consistency in all strokes & while this can only be accomplished through repetition we will provide a variety of game play situations. This clinic will help players improve their footwork, conditioning, & point/match strategy while incorporating focus and intensity. Students will be taught more advanced strokes and strategy while always focusing on honing stroke production. We will work with each student to maximize their tennis playing skills & abilities while making learning the game of tennis a fun experience. Just like the Junior Green Circuit, this class can range from beginners to advanced players.
